Building Permit Fees
The following fee schedule provides the sliding scale formula that is used to determine building permit and plan review fees that are based upon construction valuations:
The Value of Construction for the purposes of calculating the amount of permit fees needs to be a fair market value as determined by using the greater of:
a) the contract valuation (to include labor, materials, and profit)
b) the current ICC Building Valuation Data ← click here
The following tables can be used to estimate building permit fees for the types of projects identified. Due to rounding differences in our permit system, the actual fees may be a penny off.

♦ New Single Family Residence (Duplex) Permit Fee Table
♦ Residential Addition & Garage Permit Fee Table

Please note that the estimates provided above are for the Building Permit only. Any electrical, plumbing, heating and ventilation, and elevator work will require separate permits, fees, and inspections.
For those with Microsoft Excel, the Fee Calculator page provides the ability to enter data into spreadsheets that will calculate a fee estimate for your project.
